Welcome to the 2020 Children's Charity Golf Classic!
Each summer, Medbrook Children's Charity hosts our “Party with a Purpose”, the Children's Charity Golf Classic at The Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This event is our single largest annual fundraiser.
This year marks our 21st anniversary and the celebratory tourney/party will be held on Monday July 27, 2020.
Cleverly dubbed as “not a golf outing but a one-day festival” by staff at The Pete Dye Golf Club, the Children’s Charity Golf Classic is so much more than just a golf tournament! Featuring lunch and a round of golf in our signature “Shamble” format, our participants enjoy unique entertainment, food and beverages on the course including the infamous Tiki Bar on Hole 7, music and a variety of games spread over the course.
For those who thrive on competition, each par five hole features a longest drive competition. Additionally, each par three features both a closest-to-the-pin contest and a new car prize for a hole-in-one. There is also a longest putt contest on the 18th green. Team prizes are awarded for those bold enough to keep score.
The evening features an awards ceremony/cocktail party for all participants and their guests, culminating with an auction of a select number of art collectibles, recreational trips, and one-of-a-kind items.
Join us for this fun-filled day of golf and camaraderie as we raise money for local underprivileged children.

The architect was so proud of the gem he created in North Central West Virginia that he allowed the course to bear his name. Ranking #13 in Golfweek’s List of Best Modern Courses and #64 in Golf Digest’s List of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses certainly affirms Mr. Dye’s opinion of this special venue.
The course pays homage to coal mining that were the roots of the property, including a drive through a mine shaft between the 6th and 7th holes.
Playing 7,308 yards from the championship tees this par 72 course tests your shot-making skills with a slope rating of 147. A number of tees feature vistas that visually intimidate the player. Dye matches these challenges with wide fairways that allow the player the opportunity to place their approach shot on Dye’s devilish greens. Pete Dye places a premium on shot placement and punishes shots that aren’t correctly executed.
The “Pete Dye Experience” is one that must be on every golfer’s bucket list.
