Welcome to the Atlanta Veterans Charity Golf Classic

Grateful Americans Charity asks that you join us, along with your host Robert Brasfield, at our upcoming 4th Annual Atlanta Golf Classic on Monday, March 17, 2025, at our new venue: Atlanta Country Club. Grateful Americans Charity began in 2016 with a mission of providing resources that support programs aimed at ending Veteran homelessness and suicide, while combating the invisible wounds of war, also known as PTSD. With your continued support, GAC has donated over $3 million to benefit the PTSD Foundation of America and its interim housing facility known as Camp Hope in Houston, Texas.

Grateful Americans Charity raises funds to support the vital work of the PTSD Foundation of America in saving the lives of Veterans. The foundation has numerous chapters nationwide that organize over 200 weekly Warrior Group meetings and 45 Family Groups. These meetings offer individual and group counseling for Veterans and their families, often serving as a turning point in setting them on the path to success.

The programs have helped hundreds of veterans and their families over the last 12 years. In 2023, the PTSD Foundation of America and Camp Hope facilitated over 5,679 Warrior group sessions and approximately 9,536 one-on-one sessions. Thanks to this wonderful organization, more than 2,000 combat veterans have found a renewed purpose, earned college degrees, found employment, become financially independent, reunited with their families and reintegrated back into society.

We believe that with your support, and of others like you, we can end Veteran homelessness and suicide and stand with those who have served our country.

The heart of Atlanta Country Club is our world class golf course. Since 1968, Golf Digest and other distinguished national publications have consistently ranked ACC as one of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses." We have a rich history of tournament participation, having hosted PGA and USGA events. For 30 years we hosted the Atlanta Classic, a PGA event. The inaugural Tournament Players Championship, the USGA Women's Amateur and Senior Men's Amateur were also held at the Atlanta Country Club.

Since the club’s founding in 1964, our ACC golf professionals have exhibited the essence of golf. Our Head Golf Professional is Scott Schroeder, who joined us in 2010. Scott is an experienced Head Professional, an accomplished player and excellent teacher. He is backed up by three Assistant Golf Professionals. They specialize in working with and developing programs for golfers of all levels concentrating on teaching, including junior golf lessons, clinics and beginners.
