Eric Feltman was diagnosed with a pancreatic cancer in 2019 and passed away a few short months later. He was a PGA Golf Professional who started his career as an Assistant Pro at Middle Bay Country Club and then Huntington Crescent Club. He became the Head Golf Professional at North Shore Towers, where he ran golf operations with his wife Julie and subsequently moved to Engineers Country Club in Roslyn, NY where he was Director of Golf for 22 years.
He was the consummate golf professional and prided himself in always putting the member’s needs first. He received the Met PGA Merchandiser of the Year in 1998 and was named in the top 25 golf instructors in New York State by Golf Digest in 2017.
The Eric Feltman Memorial Foundation was established in 2019 to honor his memory and to support pancreatic cancer research. As a result of your support, we have raised nearly $350,000. We have partnered with the Northwell Health Foundation in support of the Eric Feltman Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials Fund at the Northwell Cancer Institute. It is our hope that this Fund will make great strides towards early detection and more effective treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Julie Feltman was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2024; she subsequently passed away in February of 2025. She shared Eric’s love for golf and played on the golf team at Duke University. After she and Eric married in 1989, she earned Masters degrees in biology and chemistry from CW Post. She then became a teacher and golf coach at Locust Valley Middle and High School.
Julie had been a driving force behind the success of our foundation, and there is now a void that cannot be filled. That said, we will continue to make every effort to honor Julie and Eric’s memory and legacy while raising funds to support cancer research.
Please save the date for the First Annual Julie and Eric Feltman Memorial Pro-Am Golf Tournament, to be held at the Meadow Brook Club on July 28, 2025.

The Meadow Brook Hunt Club was incorporated in Westbury Long Island in May 1881. The Club included the famous Meadow Brook Hounds. The original golf course was built in 1894 and was a nine-hole course. The club became the 37th member of the U.S.G.A. and in 1897 became a charter member of the M.G.A. In 1953 ground was broken at the Jericho site and noted architect L.S. “Dick” Wilson was contracted to build a new course. The new course was opened for play in 1955.
